The Argonauts added former Guelph University wide receiver David McKoy to the club’s practice roster Monday afternoon.

McKoy was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 2nd Round (9th overall) of the 2007 CFL Canadian Draft.  As a rookie, he played in nine games with the Riders before missing the remainder of the season with a leg injury.  He spent the entire 2008 and 2009 seasons on the Injured Reserve list but came back to play in Saskatchewan’s two playoff games in 2009.  McKoy has also spent some time on the team’s practice roster in 2010.

In college, McKoy played four seasons with the Guelph Gryphons and was second in the CIS with 48 receptions for 858 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior.  He was named a CIS First Team All-Canadian and an OUA First Team all-star.
